Model 19 worth?
Found a nice 2.5" model 19-7 in the fun store today. Revolver was used but in very good shape. No loss of bluing other than the cylinder turn line. End shake was tight and overall, revolver in great shape. What's a fair price for the revolver only? (no box/tools etc)

I am cheap.
I paid $350 for mine about a year ago,
But I would think $450 would be about right.

My 4" 19-5 was $250, 90%; my 19-3 snubby was $450, 98%; and my 6" 19-4 was $500, 98+%. All are great shooters, and a lot of fun to have. They are just great classic firearms.

I bought a 6"bbl 19-5 couple months ago. Was in very nice condition, no blue wear, but no box. Seller was aking $475, but I wound up working a trade on it. I love the 19's, great revolvers.

I guess my father did good on his 19-3 then. He bought it about 4 years ago for $357 out the door with tax and everything. Its a 6" and is in nearly perfect condition. Now it seems every 19 i see is waaaayy more money than he paid. They seem to have gone up in price over the last couple years.

That 19-7 would bring around $500 locally. Regards 18DAI.

I should think the Model 19 without the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder would not bring near as much as the earlier ones which seem to be preferred by most. I know I wouldn't want the later models.

Well, looks like I did pretty good for less than $400. I'm not complaining.
I'll probably pick up a nice set of wooden stocks for it. I have this thing for wood stocks!
Can anyone give me a DOB? BRF79xx
Anyway, here's a pic
