These came on this M686 but were real nasty so I refinished them.

These I bought at a local gun shop for $30. I had to sand a few scratches and refinish them. The guy at the shop thought they were for a J frame.

bobf,

is that last set factory S&W? those might be what he is refering to. your other grips are just like mine and all the others I have seen, but that last set only has 2 finger grooves.

I didn't get that set new but I believe they are factory.

Some of the others feel different the finger grooves are deeper.

Default Grips

Can only speak for the factory round butt grips. All are similar but the "feel" can vary even between all K/L and all N's.

BOBF, I THINK IF YOU LOOK AT YOUR 15 AND 16 THE GRIPS ON THE 15 ARE SMALLER THAN THE 16. FROM YOUR PICTURES YOU CAN SEE THE SIDES OF THE FINGER GROOVES. THE 16 HAS LIKE A FLAT TOP AND THE 15 DOES NOT HAVE AS MUCH. THE AREA BACK FROM THE TRIGGER GUARD IS ALSO SMALLER.

Copy of IMG00197-20110317-1435.jpgTHE PICTURES OF BOBF 15 AND 16 SHOW WHAT I MEAN. THE GRIPS ON THE 15 ARE SMALLER THAN THE 16. THATS WHY I WAS WONDERING ABOUT 2 DIFFERNT SIZES2011-04-12_11-59-15_242.jpgHERE ARE MINE

Just added these grips. Not the most perfect fit (grip was converted to K-frame) but looks a lot better than the rubber pachs
