Default grips for bodyguard 38 ?

My girlfriend just got the bodyguard 38 special, and she really likes the gun, but she complains about the recoil hurting her hand, right in the web between her thumb and index finger. Does anyone know of a softer grip that either slides over or replaces the original grip?

There are no aftermarket grips available yet (to my knowledge). What ammo was she using?

sorry for the slow reply, work was crazy this week.
she has tried several different type, the winchester 130 grain practice is the lightest that i had laying around. I went to gander mountain and got a box of hornaday 110 grain personal defense for her to try, its kinda expensive for using as practice rounds, but if it gets her on the range and practicing with it, I'll gladly spend the extra $$$.

If your range will let you shoot lead bullets, have her try some 148gr full wadcutter target ammo.
