Default S&W great repair service

I so often see complaints about S&W customer service, so I decided to relate this story. I bought a new 22-4 classic in Dec of 2010. Being a hard cold winter here I did not get to shoot it much until just this April. Cleaning it for the first time I noticed it had bad tool marks in the bore. Seemed to be indentions from the roll marks on the outside of the bbl. I sent it back for repair on 4/18/11 and had it back in my hands with a new bbl on 4/28/11. Just 11 days. Really looks good and shoot well too. What better could I ask for.

I think it is human nature to be more prone to complain than compliment.

My attitude is that you have a right to complain if you get unsatisfactory service or a poor product. I also feel you then have an obligation to compliment when service is above reasonable expectations.

I bought another 500 Mag a while back, was very pleased with it and called customer service to tell them what a fine gun it was. The woman said "You mean you just called to thank us?? I said yes, she said "You made my day!"
Sort of made mine as well.

I've had a number of excellent instances with gun service, perhaps one that was not satisfactory. Don
