Default This may be sacrilege...

...but this is a model 21-4 that came with the case colored receiver and round butt from S&W in about 2005. I could never stand those cheesy little stocks it came from the factory with, so I got these non-relieved targets from the 1950's and Keith brown made an adapter to convert this gun to sqare butt. I like it a lot better now.

Those are all Karl Nill grips. You can buy them directly from Nill-Griffe in Germany or through MacTec Enterprises in the US. Price and delivery time is about the same with either option.

Absolutely gorgeous. You really got the case colors to pop in that photo! Do you have any photos of the adapter?

Default Feeble attempt

This was my first attempt with a light box I made just this morning. I have alot to learn. Guns are tough to photograph; kids toys are fun. I should have made one of these a long time ago!
Might as well add to the pile.

My 640-1, this is a great CCW gun. I will eventually update this picture, as it is wearing new grips now.

WOW. Like those before me, I thoroughly enjoy this thread, but man it's making me want to hit gunbroker and the shops!
anyhoo, a few of my two favs:

Sorry(?) for the same-gun repeats, but I'm having trouble deciding which shots to post!

custom plug from EGW
do you think it conveys "Have a NICE DAY"?

It fits! an S&W goes wherever i go

i enjoy that S&W stamps Latin on many of their guns

i really love my 5906!

Hope you liked my candy! After going through this entire post, I'm wondering how I don't have a SW revolver yet... that will change

Bullseye, you're just plain mad!!! And by the way, your self-worked Smiths are the hallmark and appropriate icon for this thread (I'm crazy about your 619!!!), standard bearers of revolver beauty.

I post a photo of my very humble 619 almost embarrassed to join the ranks of all these beautiful S&Ws, but am nevertheless proud of it. It is one of my favorite S&Ws of all time, but love my others equally both past and present. The Ahrend grips really capped it for me; they make it fit like a custom grip in my hand and now balances and points more naturally than any auto I've ever owned.

And SZA, those Nill grips are superb! (I live in Germany, they are considered tops here!).

Thank You for the kind words Sir, I enjoy building something that no one has . Your 619 is very nice gun it self, alot don't like them, but I love them so much that I have 4 of them . There isn't a stock model on hand in my group. A custom gun is ark work all by itself, in my thinking away.

Talking

696-2, yes it has the lock, no I don't care, took me a while to find one and I got it at a great price several years ago right here in the forum ads.

My 66-2 I bought new in about 1983 as a working gun, wore it on duty for many years, now it's in my CCW rotation. That's an El Paso Saddlery Tortilla holster I got back in the '80's for a great price.

Take care...

If it's wrong to drool over every revolver in this thread, then I don't want to be right!

Question Does this Qualify as Eye Candy?

The amount of 24KT gold inlay is probably worth more than the gun.
A pre-Model 27 5 Screw with 6 1/2" barrel with Ivory Grips.
This was done for me 21 years ago by Engraver James DeMunck of Rochester, New York.

One more since alot of fantastic engraved models have been pictured.
A factory Class "A" engraved nickel finish Model 59 with special ebony grips inlaid with silver and gold (Made in the Country of Greece), an eBay find/purchase.
