I got in to a discussion not long ago on another board about the heirloom quality of plastic guns. Someone said plastic guns are better. If they could see this thread they'd throw their plastic in the dumpster.

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then this old model 19 is just a beauty to me. We’ve been together since 1974 and have shared an adventure or two.

Well, this is just an old cop gun, probably lived in a holster most of it's life, so it has paid it's dues. Not as swell as some of these high society Smiths, just a working relation.

C&R those are Altamont Classic panel, rd. butt, checkered, silver/black, with med. Check out their website. I have ordered 3 sets of the silver/black, these are the blackest of the 3, which I prefer. Usually there is more silver tone in the grip.

As far as hand held elephant guns go, I do have a DW .445SM.
I don't shoot it much as it is not really up to the task metallurgically
speaking. While the company was extant they repaired excess
end shake twice. Too bad as otherwise it is as good as a handgun
can get.
Your gun looks a lot nicer than some of the outrageous versions
I see at the S&W store.

It's been a while but since I bookmarked this thread long ago I came back and when I went to look for my post my photo's were gone, . Ok so I can fix that, hahahaaa.
Sorry, I never answered your question Nemo and thanks for your comments. Those loaders are from 5 Star Firearms for the 460 XVR. 460 XVR

Well, since I see some furrin' long guns here, I might as well add a domestic:
But to stay on track with Bullseye's original intent, this is really more appropriate:
