I recently purchased a nice, used S&W 438. Mine is not the new version 438 with the cylinder latch on the top of the frame, but the traditional model with the shrouded hammer and traditional cylinder latch. (Confusing, when S&W uses the same model numbers for different guns.) I have two other stainless, all-steel J frames that shoot to point-of-aim with 158 grain lead bullets, but this 438 dosen't want to shoot to point-of-aim with any of the various bullet weights I've tried. Any suggestions from anyone out there in S&W Land as to what bullets will hit close to point-of-aim at about 10 yards with my 438? I like to load my J frames with Buffalo Bore standard velocity 158 gr. LCWCHP ammo.
Thanks,
Pharos
