My dealer told me today that he had been informed by his supplier that a 10% across-the-board price increase in their entire stock was going to be effective June 1. I had him go ahead and order the one I had been wanting, but could not make the mental jump.......I went ahead and leaped.

Suspicious, I'd say. Sounds like your dealer needs another supplier.

Well, his sales pitch worked - it got you to order.

Both of you could be right, but he doesn't really care if I buy one or not. He does it for me as a favor and at his cost.....and no transfer fee. He doesn't make anything off of it. I don't know if it's good, or bad but I get new ones for around 67% of list.

Folks...I was just giving a heads-up in case anybody that was close to making a decision on a new purchase could consider possible price increases. You know how it is...if somebody is introducing a price increase....it may mean that others will follow. We all know the price of EVERYTHING keeps going up.
