3 or 8 moa
I have a 629 Classic w/6" barrel. Want to add a Burrris Fast Fire III. Unsure whether a 3 or 8 moa dot would be best suited. Your thought and why?
Thanks in advance.

I shoot a M&P 327 R8 for Steel Challenge with a C-more Railway 8 moa. It is easier to pick up the larger red dot.

Depends on the application. Small dot for precision, big dot for speed. I run a 1 MOA dot on a couple of revolvers (EOTech/Holosight) but have big dots on the plate smackers. 3 MOA isn't bad as a GP size. The real trick is developing the muscle memory that gets the revolver lined up perfectly at speed so you don't have to hunt for the dot. All too easy to have it (whatever the MOA) outside the field of view on the micro reddots.

You can actually shoot quite precisely with a large dot if your target is round and large enough for the dot to fit inside. You just need the same size ribbon of target all the way around the dot like the way you line up precision iron sights with an aperture front sight.
