Default The K-frame grips fit N-frame

Plenty well enough. They feel great, and look ALMOST perfect.

I wanted to offer one more plug for the BK's. I tried a K square butt BK on my Ruger Security Six square butt and while it would work just for some range time fun shooting, it's not quite good enough I would think for carry. The fit is perfect on the grip for support under recoil and the tabs are locked down just fine, but there is about an 1/8th inch gap behind the trigger loop that doesn't allow it to lock in very well.

Just thought I would throw that out there if anyone want's to stick with Ruger's version of magnas but wants a little better grip area. It's really not that bad and I may be making it sound worse than it really is.

I tried the adapters for the j-frame S&W on the exact same Ruger Model and got a better fit than that. Course like you said and show in your picture even mine wasn't perfect.

I have been buying these grips from BK Grips online for a year now. They work very well. Did not know the inventor was forum this forum, but I WILL recommend the BK grips to anyone who wants a grip adaptor...Just ordered 2 more before I found this thread.

Great product, fair price.

Mark

I've been using them on J frames, and am really pleased with them.
Can't beat the price and shipping time. Always available.

Well, almost always available. Mark just got the last 2 black K adapters I have, and it will be a couple of days before I can replenish the supply. But other than that . . .

Thanks for the nice words.

I am using the K frame square butt adaptors I just bought on these guys...Fit is not too bad it you kind of hold it in place as you tighten the grip screw...a good job for the 3 handed...

They work just fine, even with a little daylight visible from the side.

I ran across this thread looking for T-Grips for my Ruger Redhawk (not Super RH). Decided to give them a shot, and ordered the J and the K frame adapters.

Got the adapters in just a couple of days, and this is the result I got.

As you can see, the fit is almost dead-on. A little bit of trimming with a file on the one side and I think it will line up perfectly.

I shot them yesterday and the feel of the gun is much improved.

There was still a little contact between the back of the trigger and my middle finger, but not enough to be painful.

The extra grip depth also made the gun a lot easier to shoot, since I have fairly large hands.

The J frame grip actually fit just as well, but for me it didn't come far enough down the face of the grip, since it's shorter.

All in all, a great find for the Redhawk, and I'm sure I'll use the J-frame adapter sometime soon. Also can't say enough about the great service.

The web site should still be there, I've not gone anywhere. And that's the easiest place to put in an order - sometimes I even get an order into the mail the same day it comes in.

Sorry about the web site being down at the moment. I have no idea why, and have contacted the web host to see what the problem is. (I know I've paid the bill, so I'm taking the position that the problem must be on their end.)

I'll get it back on line as soon as I can. Hate to miss even one order.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,
Kip

As noted elsewhere, the web site is back up.

But for those of you who haven't visited the site in the last year or so, the email has changed from gmail - it's now [email protected]. (Since Google decided that grip adapters are unfit for them to show via Google Ads, a service for which they took my money for more than a year, I decided that I didn't really need to give them any more data to troll for info about me or my customers.)

The website address I have, < bkgrips.com > is down again as of 7:15 the morning. Must be a server thing. I hope it gets straightened out soon.

It's back up as of 0952 central time. Not sure what the problem was earlier.

When I checked with the web host to fix yesterday's problem, they said it was something at the server level that had to be reset. Yesterday was the first failure of the site that I recall, although from legal work with another web host I do know that intermittent outages are not unheard of. So I'll let 'em know of this latest failure, too.

Got my order in for a J frame model that I plan to install on a Rossi snub nosed revolver. I will find if it fits, I think it should.

fits pretty good, Not a smith but my dad carried it as a PI so I will never sell it.

I have one for the J frame on my Model 37-2 factory bobbed. It is one of the first ones Chip made and it has been on my EDC ever since. It is carried every day and shot quite a bit and the adapter has held up exceptionally well! No movement, no damage by cleaning agents, and no discernible wear.

While they are a fine product, they are not right for me. Guess I will stick to target grips. Bob

Default Ordering one for N-frame to replace my Tyler T-Grip

I just ordered a black N-frame adapter for my 1954 Highway Patrolman.

I can't bear to take the wooden grips off her, even though I have some nice stained maple Ahrends on order (3 months and counting?).

I had purchased a new production Tyler T-grip and really wanted to love it (it looked great), but it was not a solid fit, flexed a lot and I eventually broke it trying to get it to fit better. The little washer locking piece popped off, and the copper band came loose. My fault, I suppose, but I want something more robust and solid.

I love this old Highway Patrolman.

Since this is back up, I'll add a couple of thoughts.

The last three or four grip adapters I've purchased have been BK's simply because I could go to their website, order them, and pay for them in five minutes. I received all of them within three days of ordering.

I think in today's world a company has to offer online purchase/pay or they're going to lose sales. I'll bet I couldn't find an envelope or a stamp around here if I had to.

Default Got my grip adapter today!

My BK adapter came in today. I love it. It fits perfectly and is rock solid. On this gun there was an obvious difference with the two mounting strips vs the one on the Tyler. It doesn't flex at all when gripped or handled. If anything the duller black resin is a better fit with the old grayish finish on my 5-screw HP. The gloss aluminum finish of the Tyler was still attractive, but just further from a match.

I don't doubt that the pair of Ahrends grips I ordered might feel better, but I like the more "period" and "old school" look of the stock grips with the adapter. I think it stays this way, assuming I don't shoot it dramatically worse than my other revolvers.

I couldn't be more happy with the purchase and the service.

Regards,

I've ordered about 10 of these, most of them for Smiths but of late (my apologies ) for the Colt D frames - Detective Special, a Cobra, Agent and Police Positive Specials of 1915 and 1970 manufacture. Excellent fit as always.

I ordered a set for a 3" 13-3 with imitation but really well done S&W antique grips.

Ordered them on a Sunday night, had them on the revolver by Thursday.

I'd say it came out well.
