Sight adjustment?
Which way do you turn the screw to move the point of impact right? (586, 686, 629)
Are they all the same?
I've seen sights that have an arrow with "UP" of "L" but none of mine are like that.
Thanks.

On my 629 I would adjust my rear sight the same direction I want point of impact to move to. In your case right would require the horizontal screw on the side of the rear sight to move counter-clockwise. This should move the sight blade to the right and also your point of impact. I am not certain but would suspect all standard S&W rear adjustable sights to function in the same manner.
Night owl is correct the rear sight screw should turn clockwise to move the sight blade to the right. Thanks for the correction!

I agree on moving the sight to the right, but you do this by turning the screw clockwise. It has right hand threads and turning clockwise draws the sight to the right.

Right for moving impact right, left for moving impact left. Front sight, if adjustable by any means(ala auto pistol) is exact opposite

A little thread drift here. i took my 25-2 to the range last Sunday and was unable to get the windage screw to turn enough to move the sight blade. It will move about 1/2 revolution and then wants to lock up and not move. The sight blade is just barely off center to the left and I am trying to move it to the right.
What could I be doing wrong?
