Default Surplus Model 65 Question.

A dealer in my area is selling a group of 65-3s that they got from Century Arms. They have 36 of them left. The guns are very obviously service revolvers. But, they are not marked and no one there knows what agency they came from. Does anyone here have the answer??

Best,
Charles

If Century doesn't know from where they came, you'll likely never find out unless a factory letter documents it. Back in the revolver era, probably hundreds of departments carried model 65s. They may also be re-imports from a foreign country.

There are no import markings. No one at the store knew the departmental source of the guns. I haven't checked w/ Century .

Most likely an armored car or security company trade in as (most of) the police agencies switched years ago. That last two Model 64's I bought were armored car (Wells Fargo I think).
