Big 460XVR deserves big grips.
Got these Karl Nill grips from Germany. Their super large size facilitates a double grip hold like none other and are great looking to boot. They have increased my accuracy. Target shot at 25 yards is as good as my eye permits.

WOW... Those are giant... I bought the X-frame Hogue for my 629 and actually like it. I have been curious if there was a stock that you could add weights to in order to better ballance out those long heavy barrels and maybe help some with the recoil. That might be a good stock to have some of the inside milled out to add lead shot or similar. It does make one heck of a two hand hold I bet.

Every Nill stock I have ever seen looked like a work of art. I keep thinking of buying his Centennial specific stock for my 640. His wood selection is always top notch and without distracting imperfections and they come out looking amazing.

I have the same grips (only K-frame sized) on my 647 Varminter. They really make it easier to hold up the long barrel on my gun, I'm sure they do the same on yours.
I've been tempted to buy a set of Nill Phil Hemphill grips for my 460XVR, but I'm too much of a wimp, and worry about tearing up my hands without the big cushy Hogues.

Really liked your post on the Nill grips for your 460 xvr! The rubber Hogue's on mine are too small for me also. Could you tell me where you got your grips and the item or model number of them? I really wanted a set of oversize rubber grips for my 460 but after looking everywhere I could think of on the internet I came to the conclusion that no one makes them! Will look forward to your response.
Thanks

could someone please supply with the product number from the OP's grips. I have been looking for new grips and somehow this slipped my mind. My grandfather has a set.
I am looking for grips for my 460xvr 14inch PC w/ muzzle break.....I have huge hands and this Hogue grip sucks!

Yes, you can install these grips, but you will not be able to use the sling when they are installed.

ruggyh, I see that you have the Nill grip on your bear gun and 12". How does that compare with the rubber grip? was it unpleasant to shot? I am planning on getting the either Nill grip for my 4" 500. Just want to ask before I place a purchase. Thanks!

Grips shoot fine on the bear gun for me. I also think the recoil on the bear gun is less than the 5" and 8.375" guns about the same as the 12".
I have tried them on each of mine guns. I shoot better groups free hand with the Nill grips.

Newest addition to the collection: 460 XVR w/Nill grips... Holy cats!
Robert Palmer said it best: "She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went... Simply Irresistible!!"
