Not very common... I used to have the 432 and I loved it. I traded it off for a different gun and regret doing so. There are some good H&R32 ammo out there, but theres not much and its a little pricey. It also chambers 6 rounds rather than 5 like most airweight .38s. You can also shoot 32shorts and longs out of it as well.

They're nice little guns, if you have a use for one. I used to take mine with me when walking my dogs. I wouldn't take one in preference to a 38 Special or .357 if I thought there was any reason to "need" a gun. The extra shot the gun carries is not worth the trade-off from the bigger caliber, IMO. If all you are considering is a small critter biting the dog, that's something else.

I have the exposed hammer version of the 432, the model 431PD. Love it for light weight, low recoil, easy carry, quite accurate and with GA Arms 100 Grain 32 Mag. ammo it is just about on par with 38 Special and provides one extra round. The new Buffalo Bore 32 Mag ammo is up near 38+P range. I have a J frame 38 and a 357 but I just like the little 431 for pocket carry.

What a great little gun. I would like to see S&W bring out a revolver like this in 327 magnum. Talk about a mouse that roars.

You are in luck... perusing the 2010 catalog, on pg 52, there it is in SS with an enclosed hammer and night sights - 23 oz - 2.1" barrel - .327 Magnum 6-shooter - 632 Pro SKU 178046. Sadly, S&W still has no idea when they will make any! The 3" 632 PowerPort in black has been around for a while - a bit pricier, too.

I've got one - it was my first J frame (I now have 3 more to keep it company). I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, so I use it when the pain is too much for my Model 642 or Model 60 in .38 Special. As has been mentioned you can shoot .32 Shorts or Longs in it as well as .32H&R Magnum, also you can also shoot .32ACP out of it if you are so inclined. My BUG to my 432 is a Seecamp LWS in .32ACP, so in a pinch, I could shoot .32ACP out of my 432 - though I've never done so.

Regards,

Dave

I do not think it can be converted to 32-20 or 327, the cylinder and cylinder window is to short. I too have been waiting for the hammerless 632 in 327 magnum to appear It is really a unicorn, spoke of but not seen.

I also have one, fits in any pocket, sometimes I forget it's there it's so light. Autos, even some light weight ones, are uncomfortable to carry all day. The 432 is always there, ready.

Default Found the Unicorn!

I found the Model 632 Stainless 327Mag in my LGS today. Beautiful little bugger, have been looking for one for two years. Snatched it up!

Now I need a 432PD to keep it company. If anybody knows where there is a new one (or LNIB), please let me know.

Good deal, which one did you get, the black or the stainless? How much did it set you back?? They also make a 632 in a hammerless configuration. Your can check Gunbroker, I see the 432 listed often. But since you made the jump to the 327 just look for the 632 hammerless.

I have a 432PD and a 632 and like them both a lot. I have carried the 432 in the past and it is a wonderful carry gun. You really don't know it is there. It weighs 15oz loaded. The 432 is also an amazing shooter with very little recoil.

The 632 is a lot of fun to shoot too, but man is it loud!
