Default JM model M327 8 shot

I have a Performance Center 8 shot .357 with a 5" 2 piece Titanium shrouded barrel. This gun originally had a Titanium cylinder but it started to flame cut after about 400 rds so I sent it back to S&W and they installed a stainless cylinder. I bought this gun in 2006 and the Smith Rep at the store that day told me they only made around 350 of this model gun? There is a great deal of knowlege on this forum so I was hoping to find out a little about this model and what it might be worth.
