Default Model 36 frame size and "dash" questions

1. Was the original Model 36 ever manufactured with the "magnum J" frame and cylinder?

2. What does -9 on the Model 36 parts list indicate?

Thanks.

Tom

No, the plain 36 was only built on the standard J frame. The -9 is a non-current engineering change, and without my SCSW handy I can't tell you what it means except it would be a J Magnum frame.
