Default Need help on model for myself.

I currently have a 642-1, and on order a 686 SSR. I'm looking for another gun for myself for conceal carry, the 642 is a great little gun and I shoot well with it out to 15 or so yards. But since my wife shoots it well and is comfortable witb it, its now hers. I would also like something that's a little larger, I can get more hand on for control and something that will pack more of a punch. 357 is an absolute. I would like something with nothing shorter than a 2" barrel and can hold 6 rounds. Whats my best bet? Accuracy is big for me too as I like to shoot for fun with ALL of my guns. If you have something you feel proud to show off that fits what I'm looking for I'd love to see pics.

May I suggest a 3" 65?

Here's mine (and no, you can't have it!):

This is my 65 in a Wraith IWB holster by Seth's Gun Leather. I've worn this as much as 16 hours straight with excellent comfort.

That's purty. I should add that I'm not necessarily looking for a brand new model. I don't mind older models as long as they are know. For withstanding the test of time and being reliable.

The model 65, 3" is a perfect gun for him. They served the FBI well, for several years.(OK, they were actually model 13's. The same gun, in blued steel)

Sounds like you need a K-frame. A 2.5" or 3" barrel model 13, 65, 19, or 66 would do the trick.

2.5" 66-2:

Really I like the looks of all 3 models. The 65 seems pretty abundant and not too expensive.

No, they've pretty well said it all. If you insist on having adjustable sights (not recommended for CCW) get a 2.5" M-66, or a three-inch M-66 (pretty rare) or an M-65 in three inch trim. It's got everything you need and nothing you don't.

I'm a big fan of three inch guns for CCW.

Shouldn't be hard to make my decision. I like the looks of the 66-2 the most but the 65 seems to be the most abundant and therefore cheapest model.

may i suggest the 327 nightguard, a 8 shot 357 magnum revolver weighing only 27.6 oz real nice shooter. downside for me is it was a bit pricey and its black but its a keeper.
