It looks like Jerry Miculek will be on "Top Shot" next week.
Based on tonight's previews of next week, it looks like Jerry Miculek will be the "expert" on "Top Shot" next week. The previews showed a full lug S&W (625? 686?) and several of Jerry's usual tricks, like shooting while gripping the gun upside down.

The link was giving me trouble, I'd try and get a good look at the cylinder though.
That 625 is a dead giveaway if that's the case.
But knowing Top Shot it could just as likely be the 686.

I agree. The cylinder-frame spacing isn't right to be a 625.

It should be interesting. Not many folks shoot wheelguns anymore.

You will see two of the best USPSA wheelgunners on next weeks show.
Of course, Jerry, and then Cliff Walsh (from the red team) who beat Jerry at the Nationals a couple of years ago.

True, I wonder what kind of tips Cliff will receive?

I'm looking forward to this one. The trick shooting episodes are my favorites. They always remind me of trick shooters like Ed McGivern and Jelly Bryce. Jerry Miculek being there is a bonus.

This was a pretty good episode. Note to Michael though: Picking Cliff to go against in a revolver challenge, after Cliff gets a boost of confidence from Jerry Miculek = bad idea.

I think he was hoping for a non-revolver match, but what can you expect when Jerry's on the show.

Yeah, if it's an exhibition shooting episode and Jerry is your coach, there's a pretty good chance it will be a revolver...

I don't think Cliff needs to be shooting a revolver to shoot well.
He was a very good shot with the Glock 34, and at last weeks SWAT challenge, I think he was the only shooter on either team that hit both targets with just one shot each from the AR.
Yes - he is a revolver champion, but he has good fundamental skills that cover all firearms.
Take care,
Bob S.

I can only think that Michael chose by going with the competitor that didn't hit the target during the match. I'm guessing here, but how could he in good conscience pick the guy who sat out, or the two guys who made their shots? Cliff was the guy who missed, regardless of the difficulty of his part of the team challenge.
Michael's biggest mistake was changing the way he was holding the Schofield during the challenge. He practiced one way, and then shot the challenge differently. I'm sure he thought the railing would help, but stick with what you practiced. Any instructor will tell you that.
I knew they wouldn't since none of the other "experts" have done so, but I was kind of hoping they'd let Jerry show off a little speedshooting. Oh well.

I can't help but wonder how old west gunfighters like Wild Bill and John Wesley Hardin would fare against guys like Jerry or Bob Munden-it would be interesting.

Is it me, or does it seem like half of the people on top shot do not deserve to be there as far as their shooting skills go?

I can't watch that show for the petty and contrived drama, AND COMMERCIALS, that drown out a very few minutes of actual competition.

That's why I love having a DVR. I record it, and can fast forward through all of Jake's drama and the endless commercials. I take care of Colby with the mute button.

I agree, I too noticed he toatlly changed things up. Cliff did as was practiced. I wan't surprised w/. outcome.
ColColt, I too wondered how bad guys would fare against guys like Jerry or Bob Munden.
I must say I wanted Jerry to show some more of his skills than the show did of him.

I enjoyed this week's episode! The trick shot episodes are always my favorites, and I love how many S&Ws have been in this season! In response to an earlier post, I wonder if they pass on good shooters and pick the personalities that will just CLASH the most! I'm going to send in an app next time they are cast-calling, I've never been in the military, and have long hair (I could easily be mistaken for a 'hippy ') but I'm a great shot with pretty much anything. Maybe they'll choose me because I look like an oddball, and I can show 'em some good shooting and a lesson in humble patience instead of bickering! Also, I want to see Colby try even half those shots, besides being on Survivor, what the heck did he ever do to be the host of a shooting show!?!? If anything, I think the 'Top Shot' from each previous season should be the host of the next season amiright?

I had to laugh on the Brawny Paper Towel part.

Is it just me or are some of these guys/gals not "top shots"?
Last week at 50 and 75 yards; target was about 12 inches, exploding, and with a rifle it took some of those guys way too many shots to hit them!!

I'm not a fan of his and his must-talk-while-gritting-his-teeth-at-all-times-to-look-like-tough-gun-guy. However, it appears he can shoot pretty well.

9:30pm Wednesdays on The Outdoor Channel.
IMPOSSIBLE SHOTS
It's a great show. For example, this week Bob Munden hit a 600 yard target with his Model 29 standing off-hand, and Jerry did a little 3-gun run which released a clay on his first target and he hit it while still airborne eight targets and two guns later.

My point exactly, you are supposed to be one of the best elite top shots, all you need is one shot to get it done, starting to wonder if they pick so so shooters that have issues to add drama to the show like the little man Jake, lol.

Totally dig the show. I am getting caught up in the drama. I wonder how Jake's football players view him now? He is acting the total fool, much like one contestant from each of the past two seasons. Got to be a setup egged on by the Director ( They Love to hate you, Baby. Look at the Web Hits! Top Shot drama at it's finest!!!)
And Dustin appears to be living his faith. His low key Christian attitude is refreshing and not overbearing at all.
And no matter how good I think I am, I know I would not perform in front of the cameras in a win-or-go-home scenario as well as I do from the comfort of my arm chair...
I wonder if we'll see Massad Ayoob next season, hmmm??!
