646 Reviews?
One of my buddies informed me of an odd 40 caliber revolver at the LGS.
After checking the ffl's gunbroker I found out it was a 646 he had seen.
It seems like a good looking, albeit different revolver. I was hoping to hear from some owners on how it handles but any feedback is appreciated.

Handles great, stainless w/titanium cylinder, very accurate, barrel just under 4". Rare gun, 400 PC versions made in '99, 300 non-PC made in '03.
Which version is it and how much are they asking?
This my non-PC 646-

It's the 03 model. Glad to hear it's a rare one.
Are there many differences between the two aside from a PC Stamp?
I'm not sure on the price yet but if it's as fun as you say I may be laying it away tomorrow.
What price should I be looking for?

+1 with WC, I have both and the standard 03 for me is just excellent as a shooter, ragged holes all day with the rite load.
Buy it you'll enjoy it, there's not to many that come around any more.
In March of this year I seen a PC-646 go for over 950.00 in decent condition.

The PC has a contoured barrel and slabbed and of course the PC action, both are build on the L Frame.

Non-PC $700-$1000 depending on condition, if it has the case (they came in a smallish aluminum case similar to the Performance Center case), paperwork, moonclips, etc.
PC $850-$1200 depending on all the same factors.
Of course, sometimes you get lucky. I got mine for $425 at a gun show two years ago.

JB thanks for the tips.
I think he said 699 but will verify this afternoon.
Great pics Palmetto. The performance center model looks great but I'm hoping to be satisified with the 03 model.
It has everything included in the box along with about 50 moonclips from the previous owner.

It sounds like a good deal to me. Let us know how it shoots. Mine is a beast with factory .40 loads.

I have the later model with the round barrel and underlug. It's a sweet shooter with the light loads I put throuigh it. I would not want a range session with full power loads.
