My wife surprised me the other evening when one of our friends ask her what she would do if she was home alone and someone forced or was trying to force their way in the house when Jim was gone? (This is where I about fell off the chair because my wife isn't an aggressive person and really not too crazy about shooting.) She very calmly and matter of factly responded with: "I'd get that new 45/shotgun revolver with that new laser sight that Jim took to the range with us the other day. If it was dark and I was in bed or just in that part of the house and I heard something I know we keep the Gov on the nightstand where it's within easy reach. Or. i'd grab the 9mm P7 we keep in the family room. Then if possible I'd try and shoot him/them till the gun was empty and run for help whether they were down or not. The new Governor is big, heavy and kicks pretty hard but I guess if I couldn't escape and was scared enough I wouldn't even be thinking about that stuff.
Before the evening was over thee were 4 women making plans to go to the gun range for lessons and ccw classes. Is that great... or what????
Oh, today is my wife's 68th dirthday and we have 45 wonderful years together. What a patient person to put up with a guy like me.
Jim
PS: The CT works like a charm on the Gov and I believe helped get my wife over it's size, etc when she saw how well she shot with it.
