Greetings folks-
I have a 17-3 that I bought new in the mid 70's. Sometime shortly thereafter I returned it to S&W for SOMETHING. I can't remember why, and I don't have the records of what was done. As I remember, it was not a big issue, and I was very happy with the result, I think they performed some action work and perhaps throating the barrel as it was spitting a little( I think!). It actually shot very nicely before being sent in.
Can Smith tell me what they did if I give them the serial number and approximate date it was done? The work was done in the middle late 1970's.
Best wishes to all and thanks for any input, Bill S
