Default Model 66-5, 3" factory Hi polish finish.

Here is an auction where I sent the seller an e mail requesting
the info in the factory letter.
I asked where the gun shipped to. Which distributor and if the
" Factory high polish" finish was mentioned.
He never replied. I know this gun is polished after shipping and not right.
But some buyer was willing to pay almost $900. for it anyway.
I wonder if THEY know it is not a right gun?

Caveat Emptor. Buyer beware.

Thats a Mothers Polish job, no where near a pro high polish job. You can spot them a mile away.

Exactly what I was thinking, but he kept telling me that he had a factory letter to go with it, did not bother to ask for picture of it since it did not look like a Smith polish job.

I saw the same auction as it appears many have. Although I would love another 3" 66 this is not the one for me. I agree the polish job is not factory and in the end I would probably be happier with a dash 2 or 3 over the later versions. Given a choice and a pile of cash I would really like to find a 3" CS!

I fear someone is going to be disappointed with that purchase.
