Default Model 65-4 history

I purchased this revolver from gunbroker.com about 6 months ago for $275. I couldn't be happier with the mechanical condition and it is a good shooter -overall great purchase. I've polished it a little and refinished the grips and it is presentable. I purchased a Smith & Wesson shoulder holster from ROBBT (who is great by the way) to complete the rig. It is reminiscent of the revolver I carried as a police officer, a model 10 Smith & Wesson. I believe it was used in a prison or police department previously. It has etchings on the side plate and the abbreviation "MST". Does anyone know what law enforcement agency previously owned this revolver?

I bought a 3" and a 4" Model 65-3s I thought out of the same trade-in, but mine have no markings at all. Gets me thinking where did mine come from? Yours looks good and the holster is really cool.
