Default DSS 19-5 Snubby question

What grips came on the 2.5" 19-5 that were issued by the Diplomatic security Service?

How about on the 4" ? Thank you! Regards 18DAI

I know the 2.5" came with checkered walnut magnas. I suspect it is the same with the 4" but can't say.

Do you have one?

I know of 2 4" that were issued with wood but changed to Pachs. No idea what happened to the wood grips.

If memory serves me well, they were issued with factory wood grips. DSS Special Agents were offered the option of switching to Pachmayr's during training. Most of the 4" 19s were used in the Marine Security Guard program, but I don't recall what they were issued with.

Thanks fella's for the info!

swn19_357 I have a 4" 19-7 in matte finish that I believe to be a DSS pistol - but have not lettered yet.

I'm also bidding on a 2.5" 19-5 on an auction board that I think is a DSS gun.

Thanks again all! Regards 18DAI
