Default 4 inch stainless, tapered barrel, fixed sight 44 Magnum

Did Smith ever make a 4 inch stainless, tapered barrel, fixed sight 44 Magnum?

No, all their .44's were high end and heavy barrel until they came out with the Mountain Gun series. If they had, though, I'd be gettin' one!

Camfour sold a batch of 2" fixed sight 629's without compensators in 2000. I have one, and was going to make into exactly the gun you're describing, but the Camfour 629 got expensive enough to make it a pricy proposition.

I've still got my 58-29 in .44 Magnum though.
