J-Frames are least represented in the menagerie here. That's ok. It's probably un-American or something, but I'm not overly fond of the J-Frame. I would like to add a Model 34 .22 to the J-Frame tribe and I always like collectible J-Frames.
Of the ones on hand, I greatly esteem the Model 649 for actual use and consider the Model 642 to be vastly overrated.

This thread is a pronounced danger to my financial resources.
I love the Chief Special. It was the quintessential cop second gun & off-duty gun for many decades. When I think Chief Special I think cop.
For personal reasons, I've never carried a second gun. I had resolved that a bad guy wasn't going to get my duty weapon. But I have carried a Model 60 off-duty for a long, long time.
I'm old school. When I got into the bad guy catching business, it was perfunctory to buy a Chief after being sworn in. My guess is new model cops are going with lightweight semis. I can't blame them. Technology has improved, but I still love The Chief!!! It has law enforcement all over it.

My two oddball model 60's that I recently acquired and a 360 I should have never sold. Small but mighty.
