My buddy carries one I sold him a few years ago. Not sure what ammo he uses. It rides in an uncle mikes vest holster under his uniform shirt.
I prefer the lighter weight of my 340 M&P in the same holster with weak hand draw. Attached to the vest, I can't really even tell it's there (vest straps ran over the holster).
I can carry .357, but usually carry the issued ammo (.38 spl 135 gr. GDHP) for liability CYA. I rarely carry a back-up in my current assignment, but always do off-duty (Ruger LCP and/or same 340 M&P).
And my primary off-duty is a Glock 23 and somtimes 27. Issue is the Glock 22. And as much as I like to play with other guns, I trust my life to Glocks. They've never failed me, and that includes 2-3 years of 500-1,000 rounds a month when I used to shoot competition.
