What are your opinions on this N Frame trade?- 2 good ones...
A buddy of mine has an original one of first 4560 made model 610s (10mm) 5 inch from about 1990 in Like New Condition that he will not get rid of at all. I have a Lew Horton model 624 3 inch one of 5000 in Excellent Condition. Unfortunately neither one has the box and are similar condition but his (610) is probably a % point or 2 better. Today he told me he would probably trade with me-which would be even up because he loves 44 special. Strictly from a value standpoint which do you think is worth more? I figured they were about even but maybe the 610 has the edge??? What do you think?

The 624 probably has more folks out looking for one, but to the guy who wants the 10MM gun, his passion can be just as great and he might even be better motivated to buy at a premium price. Considering everything, I'd say the 10 might have a slight edge to the shooting crowd. Both are great guns and desirable.

610's-even holers-are scarce and sky high on the net, and have been for a WHILE. Probably one of a few revolvers that demand extraordinary prices right now. And I'm not talking about what the good old boys here on the forum say they "oughta'" go for, I'm refering to the real world of market value, the most a buyer would pay, weighted against the least a seller woud sell for. Look on the major auction sights, where thousands of lookers and bidders establish what that number really is. It will be hard to get several 610's to establish an average, cause there just ain't many for sale. If the guns are equal other wise, his could easily sell for 40% more than yours, market value, in my view. Flapjack.

I would guess that the 610 would bring more. I have one that I had Ron Power do a Power Custom Combat job on, as well as shorten it off the back to a 4". I never have even considered selling it.
I did pick up a 310 Night Guard to go with it though.
Your 624 should be a very nice piece also. I had a Lew Horton 24 several years ago I sold to a buddy. I now wish that I had kept it.

Thanks guys for your responses, this is what I've figured. If mine was the 4 inch or 6 inch 624, I would have already jumped at the deal but the 3 inched is a big premium from what I've saw. I had about already made up my mind to do it but now I think I'm going to give him a call. Of course he might back out on me... Thanks Guys!

If both parties get what they want and both are happy/satified-its good.

The 610's are really hard to find. The 624's not near so much.
