3" 624 with Spegel ebony in the original 624 holster. I carry this
combo under a regular coat.
When you order a Spegel, I recommend the custom fit option.
Notice the backstrap fit is perfect.

The belt is a Galco SB5.

Oh, Alright

4" 624 in a Mernickle. Same Galco belt.
This is about as much gun as I would want on my waist.
Just now breaking in a baby Mernickle for the baby 44 Charter.

Here's my new to me 24-3 with factory combats, and some dead cow shaped into a belt/holster/ammo holder by yours truly. Might need to make a matching holster and a hand cuff pouch for my Highway Patrolman...

My thanks to all of you fine gentlemen who posted their revolvers and leather. Truly a collection to be proud of. Photography was first rate. I'm beginning to enjoy the photography almost as much as the hardware. Ya done good. Frank

Seeing all these gorgeous 41 Magnums has me bordering on placing an order with the S&W PC for a model 58 w/a 5" barrel.

I LOVE the 41 magnum!

I inherited my Dad's Ruger 3-screw flat-top 41 magnum. It's probably not had more than a full cylinder shot through it; it looks like it's factory new. It was his favorite gun, and he was a gun collector. Nothing terribly expensive; in fact, he restored old military rifles and those rifles account for half of his collection. My brother and I split them. I didn't care which ones I ended up with as long as I got the Ruger. He used to get it out on occasion and wipe it down and work the action, and just look at it and enjoy the pride of possessing it. I was with my Mom when she bought it for him for his birthday. I may just go the custom route with S&W if I can't find my friend pretty soon.

I did some trading for this EPS Tanker rig. I've been wanting to make one myself for a while now - and the quality of this piece has set the bar pretty high. I've worn it quite a bit this week and it didn't even get me hung up crawling through the blackberry bushes yesterday

My 24-3 with assorted leather goods, carried it Saturday opening day of deer season. El Paso saddlery belt, Safariland holster, Simply Rugged cartridge slide, and Camillus folding knife and sheath. Grips are good ol' factory S&W, but not the ones that came on the 24-3.

Iggy, thanks for re-opening this old thread. I hadn't joined the forum back then and had not seen the beautiful collection of guns, grips and leather. Chris, thanks for starting the thread in the first place. Here are a couple of pics of my 629-6 and 60 with Lobo pancakes. The 629 is wearing Hogue bantams and the 60 has Altamont magnas.

Iggy, I'll second what he said and those stocks are killer.
I think I've shown this before but it is a little different and I like it.

Thumbs up Wow, I don't know how I missed this first time around!

Some really beautiful, and even stunning work here! Thanks to all who shared the magnificent examples of leather and grip craft!

My humble contribution, just a stubby M29 in a Mernickle rig, belt was done at the same time, too. Grashorn stags and a Tyler T round out the package.

Eaglestroker,

That is a beautiful tanker shoulder holster. May I ask who made it, and if it is currently made? I would love one for my Colt Trooper MKIII!

My Performance Center Lew Horton model 27-8 five inch 8 shot, and custom made southpaw holster for it made by Mojave Leather.

And a nice picture with the internal lock hole, just to show how unashamed of it I am

A friend of mine's truck wears a bumper sticker on its bumper:

"I wasn't born in Wyoming, but I got here as soon as I could."

That's every bit the way I feel about this forum so I'm resurrecting an older thread to share a special rig. A cowboy named Andy--somewhere in his late 70s or so--ran the Longhorn Saddle Shop while I was attending the University of Wyoming (post Air Force). He measured and made this rig for me. For many years he also made the white leather outfits worn by the ladies of the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Andy's gone now (RIP), but his memory lives on for those of us lucky enough to have a piece of his work.

I had posted this elsewhere but then I saw this thread. Stocks are pre war magnas, holster is three persons style made by our own 05CarbonDRZ (Alex). I'm very pleased with his work.

M 629-3 Classic DX with NILL's in a PWL #1011

M 29-2 with HOGUE ROSEWOOD in a Harry Maacken Cross Draw

2 more pictures from the NILL's, the first pic didn't justify them:

Better wood with special screw (double sided screw head with slot and rosette).
They are so precisely CNC-machined, that it is a little tricky, to remove them
without damaging (also my first post ever).
