Those grips were a gift from Davwingman. Something I would have never splurged on for myself. I have to clean things up every time I pick up that gun.

4" 624 with Herrett Jordan Troopers in figured walnut.
And the Mernickle that was made for it. Mountain Revolver
also fits this holster as they have the same profile.
Still waiting for my Spegels for the 3" 624 shown in the holster
pic. I ordered ebony extended boot grips.

Hows about I just shoot it up and be done with it?

I bet most of it will go off if I drive the strain screw back in tight on that old magnum...

Thank You Sir. Every time I shoot it I get a giant grin on my face . I like the way it recoils using 44 Specials....But I love the way it recoils and feels using 44 Magnums! I love it so much I went out and bought a Rossi 92 lever rifle in 44 Magnum to go with it. I am going to have to learn to reload to feed my addiction .

Thanks. Anyone can get a set. They are made to fit your hand
and work best if you have above average sized hands. Mr. Jordan
was a HUGE man and one of, if not THE, fastest accurate draws
to ever wear a badge. One of my heroes.
They are not that expensive and I consider the wood I got to
be an excellent deal. Lucked out in fact. Check out their
somewhat primitive website.

3 months which is like lightning in this business. Spegel is
taking 6 months just to start on my boot grips. I don't mind
as I understand the supply demand thing and the difference
between a single craftsman and an enterprise (however small).

Be aware these come "semi-finished" with a recommendation
to use Formby's tung oil finish. I don't like that particular "oil"
and used DemBart's "London Oil Finish" which I know how to use.
It ends up being a little glossy but not so much it looks like urethane.
Straight linseed would look best IMHO but that takes a lot of patience
to get right.

Default Leather

Two of three custom Lobo Leather holster I have had done....they are awesome. The third is for a fluted 2 5/8" 625 and is just as nice as the two pictured. All three are suede lined.

VERY nice, lawandorder!

Boy, those Peters Highway Patrol rounds sure bring back memories!

When I was a member of the New Jersey Highway Patrol (before it was disbanded and merged into the NJ State Police in 1979), I kept every other cylinder of my 6" Model 10 loaded with Remington .38 Special 110gr "Hi-Way Master" metal penetrating rounds (the Remington-branded version of the Peters Highway Patrol).

Nice!

Yep, they're the ones! If my memory isn't failing me, I think the .38 bullets had a cone shape that came to a point, sort of like a metal tepee? Am I remembering right?
