Default 629 3" Talo, Eagle Grips... Round Butt to Square Butt.

I quickly realized that the round butt grips this gun was supplied with didn't really fit my hand. Another member had posted about the Eagle Grips in a similar application and I was really impressed with the 'looks' of them.
These arrived Friday and they are just what the doctor ordered. I haven't fired the gun yet, it only arrived last Tueday, but the grips are just what I hoped they would be. They really fill my hand, have a perfectly placed palm swell and give a very controlled grip over this large frame revolver.

Hey peppercorn,
Did Eagle install the S&W medallions in your grips? I took a look at their site but did not find an option for adding S&W medallions.

If you are going to shoot full mag loads get a shooting glove. But they do look good. I hated to do it but I had to put Hogue's on mine.

Love the Eagle Secret Service in Ebony that are on my 66.

I have heard some complain about fit and finish on Eagle grips, but yours look great, and my own experience is great as well..

I do put on rubber grips when at the range (after a cylinder or two with my carry grips), but for carry (wood is snag free for me), I love the Eagle grips.

Thanks for sharing pics of that beautiful stainless monster!

I had read here that they offered them but, like you, didn't see them on there site. I ended up doing a phone order and inquired and for an extra $35.00 they put the medallions on for me.

I will take your advice and get a glove for sure. My 29 8 3/8 is on the edge with wood grips so I hope the glove is enough for me. I just really like the 'look' of the wood target grips.

Thanks wheely', I am just really impressed with the fit and finish of these grips. If I didn't have factory grips to compare to I wouldn't know the difference. I hope a shooting glove keeps me happy, if not I will go for the hogues and switch back and forth.
