Parts diagram for Bodyguard BG38
Looking for an internal parts diagram for my BG38 with the intention of smoothing the trigger pull. Can anyone provide one? Thanks, Ed

Good luck. I haven't even seen rudimentary disassembly instructions, except for removing the laser.
S&W says in the BG38 Manual:
Quote:
CAUTION:
Never disassemble your BODYGUARDŽ 38 firearm. There are no
user serviceable parts in or on this firearm

So I don't think you're gonna find a parts diagram.
I spent a lot of time dry firing mine and the pull smoothed up considerably.

NEW INFORMATION
Spoke to CS this morning and was informed that it is the polcy of S&W to not provide (free or paid) diagrams of any of their firearms. Follows a section of my email to CS.
"I recently purchased two BG38's; one for my collection, one to shoot. I was dismayed when I called your department this morning and learned that "company policy" was not to provide parts diagrams for any S&W firearms; free or for sale. I realize you have reasons for this policy and it has been the subject of considerable thought. I ask you to consider the following:
1. Owners of your product have every right to know the mechanical properties of weapons that could be called upon to save their life.
2. You are stimulating a black market for gun people to disassemble and promulgate their own diagrams and have no control over this.
3. For those of us who think you manufacture the finest handguns available, a shroud of secrecy is disturbing.
I greatly appreciate your assistance and consideration in this matter. I am an ardent supporter of Smith and Wesson. Thank you, Ed"

The BG38 is a different S&W.
However, here's a link to something they do sell.

I don't think so but I don't own one. As I said (and as S&W put in the manual), there are no user serviceable parts in the BG38.

I have to chuckle that they put that in there. I'm certain, according to the Smith & Wesson legal department, there are no user serviceable parts in ANY gun they make.

Then why would they sell the parts catalog with prices as linked above?

Right on. In a follow-up phone call, the rep in CS said there are "no diagrams in the parts book we sell". When I asked why he said "the legal dept. got a hold of it; we don't even have diagrams down here. You might want to check with Brownells".
I think this is outrageous. You shell out big $ for the product and it goes bang. Never you mind how or why just trust us. There must be someone here we can appeal to; its not a Roy issue for sure but someone must know somebody.

Have some theories on this ... I know this is an OLD thread, but of course I'd like a diagram of my BG38's internal parts too if anyone has one too. Then I know what's inside WITHOUT opening it lol. Just FYI, the manual has a bunch of patents on the last page, I Googled the last column only (one at a time) and easily found some pics of different S&W revolvers, some the BG38. There were also patents on everything from rifles to handcuffs, so I got tired of looking pretty quickly... (US Patent #s 7,886,469, 7,900,389 and
7,861,450 from that column looked promising - generated LOTS of pics of what looked like Bodyguard). But again, if anyone has a link to an accurate internal diagram just for general interest I'd appreciate knowing where it is. Thanks!
