Default Need Help: Non-standard Mod 10

Saw an interesting Model 10-8 today: 3" Heavy Barrel, SB, Bright Stainless, AEE Prefix dating to 1984. Can't find it in the SCSW. Thoughts? Many thanks

I'm guessing it was not a bright stainless but a nickle finish. If it was stainless then it would have been a model 64.

Sorry; "Yes" its Nickle. However it's not stamped with a "N". I assume it should be if it was factory nickle; yes? No, I don't plan to purchase. If someone is interested I'll be happy to provide store contact data via PM. I have no financial interest

Probably a LE trade in that had serious holster wear, and someone (the LE Officer that carried it?) had it nickeled.

This was pretty common, before all the older S&W's became collectible..........just drop your gun off at the local 'smith to get a quick nickel job done. This explains all the nickeled Lugers, P38's, Japanese pistols, etc.
