Default Sight question ????

Being fairly new to this forum AND S&W wheel guns, my one and only 629-6 Performance Center has this sight configuration. NO rear sight but merely a groove . What is this sight configuration called or is something missing??

Mark

That's just refereed to as a "Fixed Sight". That is the normal rear sight found on a non-target model.
