Default Serial number range on 66-4, RSR special run??

I was curious if anyone happens to know what the serial number range was of the model 66-4, 3" magna ported barrel, RSR run, in which only 500 were made in 1996...I think? I have had the great fortune to have found one of these 66-4 RSR models up for sale, that I will hopefully be pulling the trigger on (pun intended :-) in the next couple days or so, which is why I am inquiring about the established serial number range for that special run so I'll know if I have a low number or high number gun. Any info you guys can give on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

I have a 66-4 RSR special Mag-Na-Ported 3''. Product code 102715 year1996. serial # CAT65XX. My other 3''
66-4 nonported s/n BSN29XX 1994.
I thinking about selling my RSR ported 66-4. What's a fair price for it?

I can't say for sure what the fair price should be for the 66-4 RSR, but I can tell you that they are very rare and almost never pop up for sale, as they only made 500 of them so it could easily fetch a premium price. As an example, the one I'm purchasing went for a little over 1K on gunbroker, with multiple bidders pursuing.

Come on now....this is the S&W forum, the MECCA of all things S&W . Somebody out there has got to know what the actual serial number range was for the 66-4 3" RSR models. 500 of these were made and I am looking for the beginning serial number and the ending serial number of the 1 - 500 made so I can figure out if I have a low or high serial number on my RSR. S&W CS wasn't much help, so I'm hoping you guys/gals can help me out. Thanks
