Default New 627 PC

Hi everyone!

I received my new S&W 627 PC with the 2 5/8 inch barrel today. I had purchased it from a well known online gun store. The gun appears to have been fired. All the chambers have soot in them. Is that normal? This is my first new S&W revolver purchase. I don't know if the guns are tested in the factory before being shipped out. Perhaps someone can enlighten me! Thanks!

Richie

Congratulations on your purchase.

Yes, Smith & Wesson tests every gun that goes out of the factory so your soot marks are normal. I've had 8 627s and love them all.

2 5/8 barrel should be great for carry plus you get the extra 3 rounds.

Now practice with it and enjoy.

Thank you very much for the quick reply! I am now reassured! It is a beautiful handgun. I will start practicing tomorrow. :-)
