686 Modifications
Hello All... I am new to the world of revolver shooting. I have a 4" 686 that I am going to firearms instructor school with. I was wondering what I should do to it to make the trigger pull lighter and other mods to give me an edge on shooting the PPC course. Thank you in advance...

Congratulations....and welcome to the forum. Since your 686 is new.....dry-fire the **** out of it (snap-caps of course). There are several things you can do, but breaking it in first may be the most important part. I have never met a well-fired 686 that I thought had a bad trigger. Having said that, I have a neighbor that has gone so far as to even remove the hammer block to prevent any possible drag at all. Personally....I think that is a bit too far and I do not want to be around him with that loaded gun.
The TP pros will be along here shortly, but there are spring changes and adjustments that can easily be made to lighten the trigger-pull. Meanwhile.....dry-fire until you hear from them.

Good then you have plenty of time to shoot lots of ammo through it, which is the best way to work the trigger in.
