Default Looking for help with value for a 629

Hey all! It has been a loooooong time since I have participated in the forum. Life has a way of doing that. Anyway, life circumstances has put me in the position where I need to liquidate a couple of firearms. I would prefer to sell locally since I recently had a bad experience shipping a firearm from where I now live in Alaska down to my son in Idaho. It has been so long since I have been looking at buying firearms that I am totally out of touch with pricing.

What I have is a shooter grade 629-4 Classic with a 5 inch barrel. I do not have the original box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Around my parts, a grand easy, maybe more to the right buyer.

I hope that helps.

I have a 629-3 and I would be hard pressed to sell it for any less than $1200 or so

Minimum of $1k. Maybe-probably a bit more. Handy protection against critters weapon up in your neck of the woods.

I bought that exact revolver locally here in Florida about 4 years ago. I can’t remember exactly, but it was pre-covid. I paid $900 with no box, papers, or tools. I kept it for about a year and sold it for $1100. With inflation and the recent crazy prices that revolvers are commanding, I would say easily $1200 and maybe a bit more depending on the local market, which I think would be pretty good with such a desirable bush/trail gun with the dangerous wildlife that might have to be dealt with in your neck of the woods.
