Default Smith and Wesson .45 ACP revolvers

Did the Smith and Wesson model 25's in .45 ACP have the oversized throat problems typical of the .45 colt versions?

Yes, there is a number of threads on this issue.

Oversize throats issue was resolved with the non-pinned barrel guns.

Early pinned barrel guns will be found both with and without oversize throats.

My speculation is that those early guns with .452 throats had been returned to S&W at some point for replacement cylinderss.
