Default 642 Power Port opinions

Thinking about picking up a very slightly used 642 PowerPort at a great price and curious to know who has one and what they think of it. Bright flash and big noise doesn't bother me much but I do like the extra length on the barrel and the single white dot on the front sight. I think that this J frame is different enough for me to keep. I seem to always trade away my airweights....I don't know.....I guess they make good trade fodder. All in all,I do love J frames and I shoot them well. I'm really digging this one,so let's hear what you got.

We have one but due to the port it generally only gets used for range work since it does seem to be a little more user friendly, recoil-wise, than our other J-Frames.

We have two of the ported J's, the 642 PowerPort & 632-1 Carry Comp but I'm leery of using them for daily carry purposes. If for some reason we had to hold the gun close-in and shoot up at an angle I'm sure some flame would have to blow back into our (my wife & I) faces.

Other than that one concern, we like 'em!
