Hey All! First time poster here.
I haven't been in the S&W owners' club for long, as I just picked up a Pro Series 686 Plus (tapered 5" barrel) about a month ago. Despite the issue (mentioned below) I think I’ll be here a while.
Unfortunately, after one trip to the range said gun needs to go back for some warranty work. The hammer is rubbing the right side of the frame and caused some pretty good peening after only about 75 rounds and a 100 or so dry fires.
Since it's got to go back in for some work, I've been debating whether of not I should pony up the $155 bucks and have them perform the Master Revolver Action Package on it while it's there.
I was under the impression that Pro Series guns had slightly tuned actions. That said, would it be worth my hard earned cash to have them do the additional action work, or should I leave it as is? What do ya think?
Also, any tips for someone sending in their beloved 686? This is my first time ever sending a firearm of any make back to the factory.
