Default 586-1 fair price

I am thinking about selling my 586-1, serial AWM8xxx. Gun is in like new condition in the box with papers and tools.

What is a fair price for me to ask?

Thanks.

If it is a 4" gun I'll offer a trade. My Model 17-6 with a mounted Swift 1.25 - 4X scope plus cash to make the difference as required. My gun is a shooter in 95% condition.

There are three of them on sale at Gunbroker.com , you might take
a look for comparison purposes.

BB of GV says 650 for 100%.

I looked at one today at a Milwaukee, WI gun show, private seller, which is as you describe, 6" barrel.

Asking 750 to start, went to 650, I passed.

Doesn't really answer your question.... I guess most people start high. Depends on how fast you want to sell.

FWIW,
Greg

Why not ask $1000? It seems than every S&W revolver, no matter what condition, is worth well over $500 in the DFW area...way over priced for me. And from the looks of some of the buyers on this forum, their pockets are stuffed full of cash just looking for used revolvers to pay way too much for. How many Model 19s were made, for example. A million, or two million? And it is called "fair market value".
