Swivel Holster for an L Frame?
I have a vintage S&W holster with a swivel for my K frames (model B16 54), but my 686 is too big for it. I'm looking for a classic looking L frame swivel right hand holster. Would an N frame fit it? I like the classic look of the swivel for range work. Not gonna be carried other than the range.

I'm not sure if it'll help but you may want to check out Tex Shoemaker & Sons and AE Nelson. They were the first holster makers to come to mind and they may have what you're looking for.

Seeing how you asked, I just slipped a 4" 686 into a S&W Brand swivel holster No. B16-24W for a 4" N-Frame. The fit is fair, but not perfect.
You could also look for a swivel holster for a Python. Would probably be a better fit.
Don Hume, Gould & Goodrich and Bianchi used to make pretty good swivel holsters back in the 70's and early 80's. I still have a couple for my Smiths that I bought back then...

Swivel Holsters are still cool. A Safety Speed Clamshell displays my S&W Model 10-8 in my office
And a Ted Blocker swivel for my 1911's

One made for the Colt Python will fit the L Frame nicely.

I sold the N frame Safety-Speed mate to this one about a month ago...sorry. It was brand new from 1971, identical to my K frame one.
