Default Governor Grips

Looking for either Crimson Trace grips or replacement rubber grips for the Gov. Which frame designation is the Governor?

Thanks

It takes the same CT Grips as the K/L Round Butt Models.

I held a friends Governor today. It points and feels pretty good. It will need a spring kit. I may look at one for my daughter after I shoot it. I would want the C/T grips.

Not to be sexist, but with a good .410 load it has some oomph. You will probably want to keep it! Thanks for the grip tips.

The Z-frame Governor will mount the X-frame S&W/Hogue .500 Magnum monogrip perfectly - as will the K, L, & N frames, too.

Try any .460 or .500 Magnum S&W for your handfit to the replacement grips before you order them. In padding that backstrap, they do add a bit to the trigger reach, but fit my medium+ sized hands fine. Certainly, the recoil help with the likes of the Win PDX1 .410 rounds is welcomed. The grips are avialanle on S&W's 'accessories' site or from S&W (1-800-331-0852) ~$36 + s/h + s/t.

Hello, just came back from firing the governor w/crimson trace. Grips too small for my hand. I will be selling and replacing with wood grips. Terrific gun but I need different grips. Just a heads up for large hands.

I agree. The Crimson Trace grips are a bit small and you definitely feel the recoil especially from the .410 000 buckshot. Simply grow a callus. I am not loosing the laser!
