Hahha. It's made by Simply Rugged and has a 629-6 44 classic 5" tucked inside.

As for Sprefix: Yes it is a sourdough with floral carrving.

Have a nice day!

Hog Shooter: The belt around the waist and the strap over the shoulder are real long. They have some real big guys wearing them on their website. Take care.

Here is my chest rig. It is way "over built" with very thick leather, hardware used in saddle making and real lambs skin/wool padding. That is our very own Smith357 modeling it for us:

Those are some nice pics guys, thanks for sharing!!

I don't think you can overbuild one..LOL...Saddle skirting leather is the "only" leather to use in my opinion.

Here is a look at my 7X Leather Chest Rig

I tried to support as much weight as possible from the torso strap, so you don't have all the weight hanging on your shoulder.

What I really like about the rig is that it can be worn in serveral postitions, from the center of your chest, down at your belt buckle area , shoulder holster postiton, or cross draw...with very simple adjustments. I can easily draw my revolver even with a backpack and I can still wear my binos. (this little "snap case" is for earplugs...because you sure can't shoot the 500 without them..lol)

It is carrying a 4" 500S&W with Rosewood, Badger Kframe conversion grips

A couple of years ago, I saw a pretty good review/discussion on 10-8 of a chest rig for large revolvers. It was made by a fellow in Alaska as I recall. I don't think I have the website saved any more.

Yes MT..it is home..LOL I was born about +/-10 miles from where all these pics were taken.

This picture was taken on the peaks in the background of the first pic(just above my left elbow) This pic has my 7 1/2" SBH 44 mag in a chest holster. It is just under 11,000 FT The pic was taken July 17th.

And this one was taken half way up the backside of the big mountain on the far right in the background of the fist pic. The chest rig in this pic is holding a SBH Bisley Hunter with a 2x6 Bushnell Elete 3200 scope.

Thanks. I've been interested in such a rig for farm carry for some time now... I just don't like anything that barely fits. That rig looks like it would have plenty of room for adjusting.

I have a guy that is 475lbs that wears one of my rigs...and the funny thing is that, just by adjusting the straps through the friction buckles, I can put the same rig on my 38lb 6 year old son...yeah there is extra strap length eveywhere..but the rig still sets secure on his little chest Very funny! to watch him run around showing it off...LOL

(You couldn't see the holster when she used two hands) she was scared to shoot it one handed with her weak (right) hand, "imagine that"!. All 107 Lbs of her handled the 44 pretty well .. She shot up most of my ammo trying to get the muzzle flash too

This was as close as I got:...you can see the smoke and the barrel riseing..but no fire

I found the string on 10-8. This is the same maker; he apparently updated the website as he changed the name. It was pretty well reviewed. Another product well reviewed was the chest holster from Survival Sheath Systems: "http://www.survivalsheath.com/holsters/index.htm".

This is an old military one for my M & P .38 but it is a bit small for someone of my size. Is there anyone who can redo it so us bigger folks can actually wear it? It's a shame to let it just sit around and not get worn.

Here's my Diamond D stuff - ****** cell phone pics, but I wanted to get something up. The last pic just shows the 460 just because.

As much as I wanted to purchase a chest holster rig from a maker in Ennis, Montana ( my home state ) who some good friends of mine know personally. I'm sure the quality and craftsmanship is great but the wait time and cost was too much for me. I got and am more than happy with the Guides Choice holster from Diamond D Custom Leather in Wasilla, Alaska. Very high quality craftsmanship at only a 2 week wait and $60 less money. I can't believe I waited this long before buying a chest holster rig for my shed hunting in the Ennis Montana area. It lets me carry my day pack and binoculars with quick out of the way access to my S&W 629 revolver.
