Default Front Sight Doesn't Cut It. Help!

I acquired a new Model 60 Pro Series today. One of it's main selling points was the front night sight. To be brief, it sucks.

Anyone called S&W with this same problem? If so, what did they say.

Any suggestions of what to replace it with? I really liked the Meprolight, that I had on a SP101. Does Meprolight have a sight for the Model 60? I like my Glock 19 with a HiViz. Does Hi-Viz have a sight for the 60? Sorry for the questions, but I'm a bit down over the hard-to-see front sight.

Does everyone else "enjoy" the front sight on their Model 60 Pro Series?

Hi-Viz does make a sight for the model 60. It is available from Brownells and probably from Midway. I had one on my model 60 and did not like it in combination with the v-notch rear that came with it. I replaced the front sight with a red-insert front blade and a higher square notch rear.

I prefer black. Just plain matt black. I see black much better that white dots, fiber optics, and most especially red inserts.

Make mine black. I changed the red insert front sight on my newer 67 to a plain black partridge style front sight. This is the best for me and my old eyes.

Oh yeah, did I say black. They can throw away that white outline BS too.

Black.......it's what target shooter use. There's a reason for that.
