Default Changing the "interchangable" front sight on a new M627 Pro.

I'd like to change the red ramp to a black ramp or black patridge.
I called customer service to get advice. I won't bore you with all the wrong information and BS that I had to sift through, but at least I was able to verify the procedure for removing the front sight and get the darned thing out without marking up the gun.
Now I am searching for a suitable replacement for the red ramp...either a black ramp or black patridge. The guys in customer service had no recommendations for me other than to say they had nothing of the correct height. My red ramp is 0.230" high, and I suppose that a 0.250" sight would work. They have some on the S&W store webpage, but they say they are for the models 460 and 500.
What do you think. Would they work?
Thanks.

The front sight on my .500 PC Hunter is a dovetail. I had to use a Baughman rifle sight to get a higher front sight. The quick change front sight on the .357 is a Weigand sight blade. Weigand's website has black serrated ramps, .250" high. You can put a dab of paint on it or look in Brownell's catalog.

Brownell's has a bunch of stuff. You can look through their catalog or call them.

There isn't any reason at all why that 0.250 inch sights on S&W's site wont work as well on your 627 as with a 460 or 500 Magnum.

I picked up a .250 HiViz at Amazon, like it a lot, but had to adjust the rear elevation a fair amount. I should have picked up a .208 if I wanted the stock height.

The 625JM and 627 Pro take the same 0.250" height HiViz designed for the 629 Classic DX, ie, spring loaded sight mount. No adjustment was needed when changing the 625JM's stock gold bead Patridge sight. A couple of clicks upward, if memory serves me (It was 5/08!), were needed to get the 627 Pro 'on' at 12-15yd with 125gr JHP .38 Specials at ~900 fps (Montana Gold bullets over 4.2gr Titegroup.). My HiViz sights came from Brownells.
