New Revolver owner, is this normal?
Purchased a 686 plus 7" this month, took to range today and noticed gap between Barrel lug and Frame. Is this acceptable or should I be sending back to factory? It's behind the crane, and can't see it with the cylinder closed. IMG_20190412_095503.jpg

I just opened the safe and picked a few different guns and seemed like the older models had daylight showing more-so than the newer models. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I think the seven inch 686 looks awesome. Mine's a 6 but the 7 is way cool.
Post a photo?

It's normal. You can squeeze some black rtv in there to hide it if you want to.
Welcome from Ohio.

It is perfectly normal and intentional. Otherwise the extractor shroud would drag across the face of the frame and scrape the finish off when the barrel was installed.

It's normal, just some gaps are larger than others.
