Default S&W Performance Model 66-4 .357 3"

Good evening all!

I am new to this forum and this is my first post, which is actually a question. I have a S&W Performance Model 66-4 .357 with a 3" barrel which is considered more rare or unusual than the 4" barrel, unfired and NIB with all of the original paperwork. Finding any real information on this revolver has proven to be difficult to say the least. From what I have found this revolver was released by Lew Horton in the mid 1990's, limited to 300 and was sold for around $800.00. I am trying to find out what an actual value would be for this revolver. Thank you!

That looks like a F-Comp version....I would say close to a grand...maybe more if you have box, papers, ect.

I agree, closer to a grand as some people would think that's more desireable. I have no use for a compensator in a SD gun(or any gun) so I would not.

Thank you all for your replies and help! It is really appreciated! I have found out a few more things about this revolver that I was not aware of. It does have the folllowing:

1. Dovetailed adjustable TRITIUM night sight.
2. Factory Comp.
3. Radiused underbarrrel lug.
4. Radiused charge holes.
5. Radiused combat trigger.
6. Radiused hammer.
7. Trigger over-travel stop.
8. Full LEngth Ejection.
9. Uncle Mike's Grips
10. Full length ejection.
11. Performance center logo.
12. Round butt stainless "K" frame.
13. Cylynder latch cut for speed loaders.
14. 3 digit special serial number in the low 100's.
15. The unusual feature of this is the rear sight is the newer version with the rounded front edge, and subsequently the top strap is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. This feature did not show up until the 66-4 engineering change in normal production.
