N Frame Double Score!
Walked into one of my LGS today and spotted two new in the box N-frames! The first was a model 25-9 in .45 Colt. It is a 6" with the longer cylinder stop notches and the endurance package. I have never seen a model 25 with the endurance package installed. Has anyone else ever seen one? I guess they must have phased it in on all of the N-frames. The other was a model 27-3, in .357, also a 6". Both guns had their original boxes and both looked like they had never even been fired. There were no flash marks visible on either and both had lightly oiled bores. The 25 showed a light turn line. Both even had the vapor paper. The 25 had all of its tools in the box as well. Both also had their factory target stocks as well. It appears both most have been owned by the same person who kept them as safe queens and knew how to care for them and store them. The bluing is incredible on both, and I can see myself in the sideplate of the 25-9! Since I couldn't decide which I liked more, I did what any forum member would do and took them both! Each was $525 OTD. I thought both were solid deals at that price. The 27-3 is serial # AUZ16xx, dating it to 1986 according to SCSW. The 25-9 is BET54xx, dating it to 1990 according to SCSW. It must have been one of the last model 25s produced. Now for the pics (I'm going to try again for clearer ones of the box endlabels:
25-9
27-3

I marvel at the deals some members find. There is no way I'd ever run across stuff like this at these prices, either they don't exist here or I don't know where to find them. I applaud you!

For $1050 OTD, you got both? I think you did very well. Nice score!
